I hand-lettered these on Procreate in varying glows then used a brick wall mock up to create this image. I then used Photoshop to render the gif. (Though, I very much wish these were real! Maybe some day?)
This design was created for ING Creatives’ Annual Creative Dubai Festival. This specific design will be introducing Hussain Almossawi, an international designer who has worked with Nike, Adidas, EA Sports and is currently working for Adidas in NYC as a concept designer. Hussain focuses on innovating future Adidas products.
In an effort to write new music without distractions, The Head and The Heart took a trip to Joshua Trip together. Their new album, Living Mirage, is a result of this trip.
They hosted a poster contest for their Living Mirage tour. The only restrictions were this desert color palette. I chose to combine the themes Living Mirage and See You Through My Eyes (the first song on their album).
For Lauren Hom’s #homwork challenge on Week 31, she asked us to create a card for someone using the template “You’re the ___ to my ___”. I love ice cream, so naturally I had to share that love.
Westlake Middle School in Oakland, California is a school that is big on arts (whoo!) and wanted an interactive mural where their kids in the arts program could also get involved in. Walking around their school, I saw that a lot of their murals had themes around thought-provoking issues and some included inspirational quotes. I designed “What’s on your mind?” with speech bubbles as a way to present everyone’s thoughts cohesively. Special thanks to Dante Eisele, Debbie Phuong, and Connie Chan for helping me paint.
I had the opportunity to design a holiday flyer for Navis, a software company that makes cargo transportation and terminal operations more effective. The flyer was to be used internally and for their photo flip book of the night. The goal here was to highlight a rooftop party in San Francisco while staying true to Navis’ brand by using their brand colors and incorporating shipping containers.
Chalk Full of Life is a teachers' podcast and coaching program that aims to help teachers reclaim their time, energy, and happiness. Kelli Wise of CFOL works with you to find ways to start living the #teacherlife you've always wanted. I worked with Kelli between January and April 2019 to develop social media content for the CFOL Instagram feed to drive engagement amongst the education community on Instagram and drive exposure for the CFOL brand. Follower count grew from 3k to 4.6k (+53%) in 4 months and top posts garnered strong community engagement at 1k+ likes and 100+ comments each.
For my friend Wes’s 26th birthday, I baked a cheesecake and instead of getting candles, I topped it off with crumbled graham cracker. I drew out the 26 on paper, cut the shape out, lightly laid the paper over the cheesecake, and dropped graham cracker crumbs through it.
For Engineers’ Week 2015, I served as Engineering Student Council’s Design & Publicity Chair. I designed a simple logo that is applicable across all types of engineering then created posters that fit with the brand. These posters were printed and posted across campus and various buildings. Vinyl banner stands were also printed for each event.
My first time trying these fun serifs. Two versions of “There is a light that never goes out.”
